Alternative seat options

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a mk2 1.4 pd tdi in the level '2' trim. My commute to work is approx 25 miles each way however no matter what changes I make to the driving position (steering wheel height etc) I cannot get comfortable!

The issue is that the seat bolsters or upright sides just dont offer any support.

What are my options for replacement other than buying a larger car I.e an Octy.

Thanks,

I know what you mean. The level 2/SE seats arent very supportive.

The Monte Carlo seats are more sporty and supportive, and so are the vrs.

However, i think the monte ones have a coloured (red?) stitching, and the vrs ones have a stitched in VRS logo, off memory.

Get some reclining bucket seats ;)

I can recommend the seats in the link below as I had them in a previous car.  Fitted them just before a holiday in France during which I drove over 1800 miles in 12 days and they were superb.  Even the wife praised them!  Not cheap, though.

A friend had these http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/corbeau-gtb-classic-retro-seat/prod_848.html and reckoned they were the most comfortable seats he had ever had in a car.

I didn't buy my seats from that web-site but it certainly has a vast range from which to choose.

they rise and lower the same as fabia vRS seats , so no different to any other fabia I would think....

yes they would, one back bolt has a different hight and needs to be "jimmy'd" a bit, and a little plastic sleave needs to be cut to fix the airbags up, but they deffo would go in a monte :)

so is a genuine "as new factory" vRS interior ;) I was a little iffy at first, but now, I would NEEED nice leather seats ;) being the cupra they support as well as the vRS seats too, and Bryan has a more genuine vRS interior ;) very unique car Bry ;)

if you can get a crashed cupra interior, I suggest you fit it to your fabia !

:)

Ah cheers. Hmm. Wonder why it is that i dont find the fabia seats to lower far enough.

I'm not even that talk. Only 5 foot 9 or 10.

It's leather.................just wipe clean

These seats would suit my car so much better. I hate the colour and stitching of the monte seats, i like the shape and how they hold you but a poor aesthetics design imo

What other leather seats will fit in the fabia?

Any body got any experience with the audi a1 seats?

Theyre leather, lovely, and the cars in the vag group, and on the same platform as the fabia?

Sayin that. Its probably cheaper to have the while car reupholstered by a professional?
