1.9 TDi fuel Pump getting on power!

Just had the car die on me just as we were going to head down south for Xmas! so I got the AA out to have a look at it but they could not get it started and he thought i may be the EGR or some thing like that so we got him to take the car to the local garage were they have had it for well over 3 day now and have just give up on it.  All they found was the Fuel pump is not getting power but works fine (they tested all the wires fuse and relays as well).

 

any one ever seen this before! 

Any help would be great, It is are only car and are Christmas is already a total fail, but I have to get this car running or I will lose my Job :(

 

 

 

 

Oh yea its the fuel tank at the tank.

I am confused by your post, how can the fuel pump work fine if it is not gett7ng a power supply. It should be drawing about 5 to 6 amps and running at about 4300 rpm.

Perhaps he means the pumps been connected to a separate power supply and it runs. But doesn't run on the car.

I'd assume the Fuses, Relays and connectors have been checked and tested? All could cause it to not work.
