Remap

Featured Replies

Hi have any of you guys ever used West Yorkshire tuning for your maps .... Any comments thanks

I havent but from past experince dont get a generic map. Custom all they way

It's a custom map he dialed in all the setting himself but only took 10 mins and dident even drive it beforehand to see what it's like ... So I'm guessing it's his own generic map settings for these as he will have done them before .... Wondered if anyone had experienced his maps before ie are they clutch / turbo friendly is my main consern thanks x

What's the price of these remaps just out of interest?

I was just about to ask the same ? ^^

I take it you didnt get a rolling road print out.

What did he expect you to gain hp wise. What was you running before.

I kno these engines can take alot. How old is your clutch

Nope no roling road or print out ect .... £200 ... He reckons 160 - 170bhp and upto 400nm from ones he's done before .... Will a standard dual mass hack 400nm .... She's only done 60k ....

I am biased (as I have one), but for an extra £49 I'd be looking to get a Shark remap. I think the reviews and feedback on this forum alone speak for themselves.

Not to say West Yorkshire tuning are not a reputable and capable company, I just can't recall much discussion about them on the forum since I've been a member.

Wish I had known m8 .... Just he sound like he knew what he was doing and could come do it straight away when I enquired .... Think I got a bit excited and just went for it lol ..... Oh well will see how it goes in terms of reliability thanks

I'm sure you'll be fine, looks like they have mapped a wide range of cars from looking at their face book page.

The figures you have been quoted are very similar to what Shark quote for the map I have. I bought my car on 59k, it had a new turbo at 63k, shark remap at 73k and has now done 88k with no issue. Still on standard original clutch and dmf as far as I know!

I dont have the vrs.but have the pd100 tuned to 144. Mine had 98k on clock still on orig clutch

They guy who did mine has been doing tunes for several yrs and does his own private work.but works for rep tuning firm in the hunts area

He told me all about gains and how smooth it would be. Its improved my car instantly.

Ive heard nothing but good about this shark remap. Others are jabbasport or celtic tunes. I will prob make you sick when telling you mine was £100.
