Continuous beeping/bong noise every second when temperature below zero

Featured Replies

Hi,

Please help diagnose this issue.

The car is a 56 plate 1.6 16v Roomster2. I've owned it since March 2014.

Recently the ambient temperature had dropped below 0oC, When I am driving and the temperature drops below zero, I hear the beep/bong which is commonly heard a single time when the temperature drops below 4oC. Unlike the 4oC ice warning, this beeping is non stop, it repeats every second and only stops when the temperature goes to 0.0 oC or the car stops moving (speed of 5mph) seems to be a trigger. Strangely the snow flake icon is not displayed below zero but is displayed between zero and 4oC.

Any ideas how to stop this? I changed the battery a couple of months ago and wonder if something needs reset?

Thanks in advance
