my front wipers are not working at all. The rear wiper works ok. Anyone any ideas. Thanks

Have you got a hid kit fitted by any chance if so you might of blown.your wiper motor

Not to sound too obvious, but have you checked all fuses? Does the motor make any noise?

For info though, why would an HID kit blow a wiper motor? Surely they'd either be on different circuits, or the fuse would go before the motor?? Only ask as I have an HID kit fitted.....not had any wiper issues though...yet...

Fuses, relays, is there any whiring, if not it could be motor or switches or wiring.

I've had a wiper rack seize, so no movement.

Stripped it all down, removed the rust and greased it and it worked well enough until I replaced it.

From the look of it there never was any grease.

The wipers are controlled by the ccm, and there have been reports of uncoded HID's causing problems.  One of the other current HID threads goes into more detail.

It's possible in this cold snap that the OP tried to use the wipers while they were frozen to the windscreen and when they didn't move the overload blew the fuse.

Good thinking

Ahhhhhhhh.....mine haven't been coded (no bulb out light or errors, so never bothered looking into it!), hopefully nothing will happen, CCMs can get expensive!
