Boot lip and door sill kick plates

Featured Replies

Hello everyone

It's far too cold to fit any of this stuff today - the glue on the double sided tape simply won't stick in this weather - but I decided to offer up the chrome kick plates to get a better idea how they will look:

Especially happy with the door sill kick plates - the fit is extremely good.

They look good.

I think they look better than what they would look in my black rapid. It would be way too big contrast. But since yours its grey (yes?), they chrome plates look good!

Yes - mine is metallic silver, so chrome was the way to go. On a black car you are probably better off with the black plastic ones, or the black painted metal ones I've seen pop up on eBay occasionally.

yes, in mine I have the black plastic ones and they look nice and subtle!

by the way, in your boot, on the right side of the photo, I can see that the boot "wall" (where you have some kind of net too) is not lined with carpet but with rubber/plastic, the car came with it? I think would prefer that kind of material. It's more easily cleaned and washable.

The left and right sides of the boot on the Spaceback are hard plastic, only the floor and the seat back are carpeted.

The net pocket is a genuine accessory. The Plumber did a post detailing how to source and fit both the net pocket and the left and right storage bins (like him, I added all three).

The normal Rapid - I think - is carpeted all over?

Yes the other Rapid is fully carpeted with no nets but a couple of useless hooks [emoji57]

That looks really tidy imo
