Insurance renewal time for the vRS

Featured Replies

With Admiral....£311 :sun:

£200 better than cheapest alternative. Includes my mods, IAM certificate and business use. very happy indeed!

Swansea call centre staff also a pleasure to speak to as always

Good for the first year until it comes to renewal time but if you're happy to shop around every 12 months then go for it.

They're a massive company so if you're unfortunate enough to have to make a claim then it should be dealt with well.

do you 10+ years no claims.

I'm paying 200 quid with Elephant (part of the same group as Admiral) - as I live in Glasgow I'm very happy with that figure.

Good price with business included. I paid 240 last year for mine. No mods or business. 10 years no claims.

Just got my renewal in the post and it's gone up by 100!! I've not claimed...the ******* just decided to put it up. I thought insurance was supposed to at all time low. It doesn't include business insurance either, which i do need now from next month. Think it's time to shop around :-)

If you're with the Admiral group then I'm not surprised it's gone up. They're well known for offering cheap initial prices then hiking up renewals in the hope you've got it set to auto renew and can't be bothered to shop around.

They're good for multicar policies as well but I still found it cheaper to have separate policies for mine and my wife's car than a multicar policy with them.

sorry didn't mention been with them for 5 years. did a few comparison sites which were more expensive than what admiral offered as a current customer.

i've always found their renewal prices very good which is why I've stuck with them for so long. their no claims booster is very handy too

Happy days, I've worked in insurance now for 4 years and found that most of our customers come to us from the likes of Admiral or the AA after being with them for one or two years.

Mine and my wife's insurance is with my employer and both our renewals were cheaper than any new business quotes elsewhere. It may be you fit their model perfectly as a customer and they want to keep you, if so then stay loyal to them an get rewarded by cheap premiums and everyone is happy.

My wife was with them initially and used their bonus accelerator policies which was great but after year two they tried to shaft her so she came to us and has seen her premiums fall year on year. I'm not blowing my employers trumpet, if they put my premiums up I'd be off like a shot but they do reward loyalty as well just like you're seeing with Admiral. I like the Welsh too,my wife's best mate lives in Swansea now after she married a Taff.
