That's more like it. Would happily pay that for a 110 TSI though not the 90.

My choice would be a 1.2 TSI 110 estate for about £12k so I'll wait until May/June for Q2 offers, I'll have had mine 2 yrs by then so probably looking to change if there's a deal to be had.

Monte Carlo spec might be out by then as well but I have a feeling that it won't be a bargain like my Monte Tech was.

Broadspeed are during discounts across the whole range of New Fabia. They also do trade ins as well. Not sure how generus a trade in would be with a broker?

They are 'Brokers', and are Introducing you to a Main Dealer that is prepared to do the discount.

Still too dear, fabias have gone from cheap and cheerful to pricey yet basic. Considering the euro's decline, I'm surprised at the pricing. They have possibly done this to start vat free, now probably soon after launch.

Basic trim quality, lack of soundproofing, these are things that will stop me buying unless.....its cheap and still well built (to be seen).

Whats with the stupid price increase of paint??

Welcome to Skoda.

Gone are the days of cheap Skoda's.

Octavia MkII to MkIII has seen the same.

The Fabia is following suit, followed by the Superb and Yeti around the corner.

If you want VAG + cheap you'd better head over to the local SEAT dealer and grab an Ibiza brochure.

There's a face lifted Ibiza coming out this year with a brand new model due in 2017, so bargains to be had at the mo.

It'll be interesting to see what the prices will be like on the brand new model compared to the Polo it'll be based on, will it go the way Skoda seems to have gone or will value for money still apply. The Leon can be had with good deals on PCP which is a cracking car and not a million miles off the Golf, hopefully the new Ibiza will be the same.

Or move up a Skoda class to the Rapid Spaceback and negotiate discounts on the cars Skoda dealers are struggling to find

owners for.

Their prices were yet again set too high at launch and means there needs to be discounting yet again.

Not just were the prices too high but again the interior quality was in the cheap city car class. What are skoda or vag thinking?

The new Fabia is supposed to have a better interior than the Rapid however.

When I saw one at the dealers at the weekend, it was rather quite nice inside (was the SE spec, so not the best of the bunch). If they did one with some more grunt in the engine, I would probably have another myself. Little pricey though, but you do get a lot of nicer kit with them now.

What Car? just tested it against the latest Polo and Corsa, the Fabia beat them both quite convincingly.

Auto Express tested them in December & the All New Fabia came 2nd to the Polo by a Photo Finish.

So as usual it will come down to what those buying with their own money thinks rather than Journalists opinions while driving borrowed cars.

Odd that there is the difference in Servicing & Running costs for what basically are the same Cars & Components

from 2 Volkswagen Group Manufacturers.

But that is how the VWG do Servicing Schedules & Guidelines,. Usually only to change them later on the Newest Car.

Popped into my local dealer and had a nosey round an SE and an SE-L - I must admit it looks and feels a lot better.

Having had a mk1 vRS, mk2 vRS, Rapid and now a mk1 vRS SE and mk2 SE I can safely say the improvements are noticeable.

Now to find one at a good price as £17,500 for an estate is too much.

It's going to be 6-12mmths before these become decent value with reasonable discounts.

Early adopters always get their pants pulled down and shafted :-)

Best so far is £16,150 for a car costing £17,800.

there are discounts around already, carwow, autoebid, new car discount to the few i've looked at.

I meant from an actual dealer - emailing or phoning.

Our local franchise dealer with their new flash showroom hasn't even got a new Fabia in yet. Not that I like them anyway.

Then you'll not be bothered about them not having one in yet!

Just thought I'd peer in the window as I drove by on the way to work! I meant the dealer, not the car!

Let you off then, my local dealer where I got mine from we're having the showroom refurbished just before Christmas so didn't have any models to view.

I'll not be going until May/June time when I may decide to trade up to a Fabia estate.
