Do you know if the front and rear seats from a MK IV VW Golf Hatchback, 4 doors are fitting in the Mk1 Fabia hatchback, without any mods ? 

Believe mods are needed. Polo seats should fit in though

They don't go straight in no. If you are looking at VW seats that bolt straight in to a fabia you will need Polo 9n/9n3 seats. Even then though the rear bench doesn't sit absolutely perfect at each side.

There are mods required which basically means replacing the sub framework (connecting the seats to the car) as well as some trimming of the rear seats to fit the original fabia metalwork bases (as its not quite as wide as the golfs).

 

Its fairly DIY possible so if you can just get hold of donors ( or sacrifice your own seats if they are minging) its not too difficult. I would say the replacement seats would have to be worth the hassle for that though e.g. good leather or decent brand seats or something, as its a fair bit of effort overall.
