Correct sir - the hugely expensive, but not very successful, Group B rally weapon Citroen BX 4TC.

If my numbers came up Id love a road going version (and the Lancia 037, a 6R4, a Peugeot T16, an RS200....) :)

How about this one, easier for those in mainland Europe as we sadly don't get it in the UK.

Sold under two brand names....

Chrysler/Lancia Ypsilon?

Sorry, no-we do (did!) get the Chrysler Ypsilon here.  They're a bit odd, but not a bad car really-especially the top spec models which were being shunted out pre-reg at under £7k just before Chrysler's departure from the UK was announced.

If there was ever a case of marketing stupidity, that was it.  A small, fairly chic, interestingly Italian branded 5dr hatch which could have been an ideal upgrade from the 3dr Fiat 500 was sold under a un-cool American name associated with fuel guzzling, dated tanks.  You couldn't make it up!

Dacia Lodgy

I think you are right greenstripe....but isnt the Dacia Lodgy sold in the UK?

Correct greenstripe, indeed it is a Dacia Lodgy MPV, 7 seater, so over to you.  Also sold as a Renault Lodgy in some markets like Russia but we don't get it here.

A really nice MPV with a decent diesel engine, good mpg, decent kit and 7 seats, all for around £11,500 in EU.

Too much effort to swap it to rhd for us against-the-current swimmers though, same as with the excellent Dacia Dokker 5 seat MPV, which is like an early Berlingo 5 seater, again with a decent modern diesel unit and all the bits...for under £8500 in EU.

My sort of vehicles, just like the old Skoda idea of robbing the corporation parts bins of the decent stuff, set up their own distinctive style and bringing out quality, high spec cars for little money.  I'd have either new in a shot at these prices, even against the idea of having to deal with Renault Customer Services if a problem occurred.

Looks like my sort of small, simple car, but the styling cues are from several brands, will be interested to see what this is!

We have a winner:

Honda Brio?

It's a quirky little car, I wanted to post a picture of the back end -but would have had to Photoshop the badges - which isn't really on:

Was convinced the bonnet was Honda with the crease there, but never heard of that one!
