Exhaust inspection system update

Featured Replies

Hey guys just a quickie spoke to the dealership about the light on my dash last night and they have offered to pick up my car tomorrow run some diagnostics through the obd port with the vag software and possible put new spark plugs in just wondering how I know they wouldnt top up the oil because I'm around half way through an oil consumption test and wether you think that's a good result

Sorry not followed obvious previous issues that you've had but can you not tell them not to top the oil up?

I'm just wondering if they would be sneaky to avoid me getting a engine replacement which can be costly on skoda

Why would they? It's work for them at the end of the day ?

What is an "Exhaust inspection system update" and what light came up on your dash?

In the past I have had a "Control system for exhaust" light come on and on the third occasion I took my car into my dealer - they found no fault.

I put the problem down to changing the fuel to 99 RON from my usual 97 RON.

My thread is here - http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/331625-control-system-for-exhaust-light-coming-on/

I doubt that any dealer would "top up" your oil - replacing the engine is work for them - at Skoda's expense.

Whatever - good luck!
