Simplicity is the best way.

If the citigo had a fraction more power it would be perfect.

I get more enjoyment out of driving the little Citybug than I ever though I would. It's just a joy to drive. My miles per gallon are fantastic, but it's the smiles per gallon that really make you realise just how much you grow to love the car.

Exactly this. They're a simple little car with no complicated things that will just go on and on and give you lots of fun in the way [emoji106][emoji4]

I love it too. I've had mine for around 8 months and have covered 10,000 miles. It's the best car I've ever owned - and doesn't feel like a small car in any way apart from external dimensions. My first service was carried out in an exemplary fashion with the car collected from my place of work and returned before I finished. The guy who collected it waited for nearly half an hour for me to get to work and was lovely. The dealership (Sandicliffe Leicester) rang me to report back and tell me the car was back on its way to me.

I normally change cars every three years so I'm hoping there will be an updated Citigo by then. Are there any rumours of an updated model?

I agree with everything said about the Citigo. Mine was a dream to drive, never gave any trouble and the only reason I sold it was because of the need for 3 seats in the rear.

Just missing a few little touches and it would be more of a match than it is already for anything in it's class on the road. My Elegance was missing, like most of the models in the range, one touch drivers window, dual drivers windows switch and maybe a boot light. Apart from that it fit the bill perfectly.

Sorry you're having trouble with the Rapid Stormchaser, I know as I have read all the posts about the faults, must have been a bad un from the start. Let's hope it's sorted third time in but I guess you are not fussed and most likely want rid now. So far my Toledo is a good en, long may it be, just like the Citigo was.

I've got stop-start, regenerative braking and the laser-controlled Citysafe...not THAT simple, then!

But no complicated CAN bus system with control modules [emoji6]

Thanks Mick I'm glad the Toledo is going well [emoji106]

You're right I'm not fussed about the Rapid no more as I've still got my Citigo [emoji4]

The other is just sat in my garage doing nothing. Haven't enjoyed it since I've had it.

Having collected my car recently, there are a few things I am surprised are not there.

No boot light - the panda easy had one.

No glove box light - our Megane has one

No signal Touch drivers window - even the base easy panda had this.

Thought I was getting the cup holders in the corners of the rear bench but they only come on the 3 for model.

But it is lighter and easier to drive than Megane 1.5 dci and a much better car than the fiat panda. Hopefully it will be more economical than both.

Boot light and glove box light are two things that we all have found annoying. Few of us - including myself - have bought a cheap battery powered, motion sensor LED light that sticks in your boot/glove compartment. It's pretty good, to be honest.

The cup holders I wasn't aware that they only came on the the three door model. They're very useful in mine. You'll still have your middle cupholder (behind the hanbrake), fron cup holder underneath the central console and the door front door bottle holders, though at least.

Single touch would be useful, but I don't miss it massively. The only thing I dislike about the windows in my GT Elegance is the lack of a dual control window from the drivers side, and having to lean across to the passenger window to use the switch to open it. (Although, Skoda have finally come around to fixing this on the new models - yipee!).

It's very refined to drive, and it's also highly economical, especially my Greentech. :)

Had my Sport nearly a year. Got it with 1700 miles, it's now done just over 9000. It's been good fun and I've been pretty pleased with it. The usual few things I don't think are great, ie no boot light, lack of two window switches on drivers door plus no one touch or illuminated switches!!. No electric heated mirrors. And finally 15mm lower is not quite enough, should have been 25-30mm lower imho.

Not sure how much longer I will keep it as I fancy a Mini...

Just out of interest, how often do you guys lower the passenger window to moan about the lack of a passenger window switch on the driver's door? I cannot remember the last time I had to lower the passenger window when I was not a passenger, and I have been driving a VERY long time!  :D

Absolutely this!

Isn't it easy to desire all kind of small things? But how many wants to pay them? I don't want, as I want reasonably priced car, and that's what Citigo is. I don't need illuminated buttons. No need to open passenger's window from driver's door, as I can reach easily passenger's window switch if I need to. Just to say some example.

I bought a cheap battery powered, motion sensor LED light from Lidl, though. That's how I like it. If I need something I buy it. But I don't want to buy something what I don't need. :sun:

Even though Citigo is simple, it amaze me every now and then. Now I found out, that there is "double synchronisation for the second gear". I saw principle picture of it, and it is smart solution. Second gear often get more beating than other gears, so this sounds good to me.

Down to the paintwork on the inside of the doors, my Citigo reminds me in so many ways of my old 1989 Fiesta XR2, also in white! The simple connectedness of the whole thing. It's a great car, which I enjoy driving more than I ever did the Fab vRS mk2 I swapped for it.
