It can be done.

You will need:

 

1. the cruise control lever unit which comes with all the wiring 

2. and maybe, maybe not the correct comfort unit to support the cruise control function.

 

Then it is a matter to install both - I hope you only need the stalk otherwise it will be an expensive retrofit.

Its not a simple clip on job. Most people wouldnt be able to do it themselves, if thats what you're thinkin?

New stalks are needed and a a wire running to the ecu. Vcds is also needed to program it on. Saw the guys at awesomegti fitting mine. 300 pounds including fitting.

It's a pretty involved job, I had tech1e fit mine on a 2012 Roomster. The kit for mine included new stalks, wiring and a body control module (or comfort unit), which was not required. The car also needed to be coded at the Skoda workshop.

Hi - I am trying to get Cruise retro- fitted also to my Fabia Monte Diesel 2013 - Can anyone suggest where to get it done? Skoda seem reluctant and say cos I have 2013 model cant be done?

i see youre in hampshire, Winchester did mine which is a 63 plate 105 diesel it was £330 iirc even have the invoice if they say it cant be done!

Mine's is pretty much fully loaded, Climate control, Maxi dot, sav nav with the DAB (RNS 315 Amundsen+) and rear sensors as well which come up on the display.

 

Only thing that wasn't fitted was the cruise which they put on it for me, Just checked the invoice £275 + £55 vat £330

It was done 4 weeks ago and I've owned the car for 3 weeks so far and put over 2000 miles on it although 800 of that was driving it back to Scotland! I'll pm you the reg.

It is a pain in the arse job to do, so thats probably why they dont want to do it. It took my dealer about four days to do mine! They had terrible problems trying to get it to accept its code. In the end it turned out the car needed a software update before it would take it.
