I've had a text back from him stating it has had tensioner issues at 48k miles, but was all replaced at his expense.

so if you wanted bargaining power from it not having much interest, you have maybe shot yourself in the foot.

Potentially, but I'd rather take the risk and get valid input from those that know more about the kind of car than I do.

No propper pic of the car which i find wierd?

I wouldnt say it was well looked after personally. If your selling a car you would take a propper picture with it looking its best. The one pic that is on of the outside is a bad one and you can see it has a dirty wheel. If you cant be bothered cleaning it to sell it then what else cant you be bothered with? Letting it warm up propperly regular services etc. Id be wary mate.

I've just had a chat and he seems very genuine. My gut instinct is that it has been cared for with FSH etc.  I will be getting an AA/RAC inspection regardless, however.  I have more pictures that he sent me but I feel a bit rude posting them without his direct permission.  Car looks great, minus kerbing on one wheel which he was upfront about.  

 

Car had tensioner fault at 48k, which apparently damaged inlet valves, but the chain did not snap.  All was fixed at autobahns, Hexham.

 

Providing it doesn't sell before then, we've pencilled in a meeting in Newcastle Wednesday morning to get a first impression.  Fingers crossed!

So is it a Trader, or someone buying and selling and 'not trading' ?

 

Is his Name on the V5,

at his address that is a house / flat/ residence?

 

Check the address on Google Earth & Street View, & the Electoral Roll, 

& if you were to buy, check the Owners ID with Address & does it match the V5.

Go online and check the MOT History for mileages etc. 

It's a private sale, from a seller local in Hexham. This advert was recommended to me by a member on here. I do not have his exact address to confirm.
