Just out of interest, does anyone know what the clutch plates are made of? Traditional or sintered metal?

 

I spent Friday at the Autosport Show, NEC, looking at F1 clutches, sectioned sequential gearboxes etc and all the other aero/space tech high end stuff and wondered what Haldex used.

Knowing Borg Warner, they might introduce a cheaper material, a bit like the Gen 5 vs Gen 4 oil pressure regulation weight/component saving exercise.

 

It's of no major concern, just interest

I'd guess sintered metal.

According to this tech sheet on the Gen V Haldex, it's sintered bronze:
