  • I still find it amazing that there's a debate going on here about winter tyres benefit and point. If what you're saying, Stooz, is that your winter where you live is often above 7 degrees, and that

  • every british winter averages below 7C.   they are not snow tyres. They out perform summer tyres in all conditions below 7C . I work for the emergancy services in Cumbria, I was on last night, we wo

Tbh M12MKD I haven't looked in to the sizes for the Fabia mk3 yet .Once the Citigo ones have gone I will start to look or if I'm lazy as usual I will ask my friend to get them.Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Oh it's fine I think that they are 5x100, I was just going to shamelessly plug my 5x112 winter wheels if it was of any use to you. But thinking about it I'm sure they are 5x100 like all the rest of the Fabia's have been.

Nice one ,sad thing is I sold a set of Fabia winters and can't remember the size but going through some of the adds on here your are right 5x100 but I will ask to see which fit the mk 3.

I did think that was the case Mick, sorry I was kinda trying to be helpful.

On the plus side there is lot's on ebay to chose from!

I have a set of 185/55/15 continental winters for sale (no wheels) in the for sale section at £100 :)

Coming later to the debate.....

Winters work better than regulars below 7C.

If the average daily temperature is 7C.

I know my winters are effective & earning their keep... I'm on the road arounf 7am & 5pm...... when it'll be colder....

We don't need them in the UK, we manage just fine. We have no problems sitting in stationary traffic when the roads gridlock as soon there is a bit of the white stuff. I feel perfectly fine shuffling along at 2mph past all the cars in ditches. The only loss of control I experience is the choice in my route home up the hill with the least stuck cars blockading it.

Oh wait... :)

I am having problems looking for my 15" wheels on my Monte, looking for wheels and tyres.

There are at least two sets for sale by two different people in the sale section both of which have posted in this thread and both are changing to bigger cars.....

........If that helps any.

My Monte has 15" wheels, the wheels for sale are 14". Thanks anyway.

I have fitted Michelin CrossClimate tyres to my Roomster, these are a new tyre that is based on a summer tyre. True I have note used these in the winter yet, but on both dry and wet road they do not slide at all! On the motor way they there are very stable at speed. Plus have been getting good mpg also.

Looking at the evidence on the Internet on tests they have done in snowy weather, these tyres will be perfect for British summertime.

Please check this out.

no problems it was worth a post. Any reason you want 15's? (purely nosey interest btw)

Because my car comes with 15" wheels so I would really stick with 15"'s
