Columbus can't find satellites..

Featured Replies

Hi.

Any idea why my columbus can't find satellites? Software problem? Maps installed at dealers before delivery?

New car, ordered from factory, delivered at Friday[emoji53]

Presume you have driven about a bit?

Any sat nav can have trouble in built up areas.

Back to the dealers by the sound of it tho.

Some 1300km since Friday. Have not been standing still on a open field for 30minutes with satnav on though...

Sounds broken then... Hopefully something like a loose cable dislodged in shipping so easy to fix!

Where is the cable located?

There are many! Could be behind the head unit or between there and the GPS aerial. Just get the dealer to look at it.

I'm about to let the dealer look at it. But, if they take some things apart will there be rattle and noises when put together again?

If there are then they will have to fix those too! But what choice do you have?

Exactly, demand a courtesy car and say call you when they have fixed it, and mention they better not add any rattles.

If you make your expectations clear up front they tend to **** up less I find!

They did the job very good. First they said it was the antenna/shark fin, then they changed it. Without success.

Now it's the Columbus. By changing with a democar they made the navigation work. So, waiting for a new Columbus unit.

Glad to hear it :)

My demands set me as "special customer" "be careful with the car" on their papers. Yes, I saw the post-it[emoji6]
