Pictures of any SKODA VRS de-badged/black carbon Skoda badges

Recommended Posts

The rear one hasn't gone that well, it part peeled the first time, so really should have started from scratch again, but didn't. Ill have to re do the rear, weather permitting...

Just of interest, what was the cause from it actually part peeling? Was this due to removing the masking tape/taping around the badge to cover your car up when plasti dipping or was it because it just peeled?

Just want to see what your experience was on it, before I either decide to buy black badges and take originals off or plasti dip them.

I think I didn't leave it long enough to dry after spraying, so started to peel and didn't cut to the edge of the roundel, therefore I was left with a black inside and a silver ring round that. Decided it would be fine to then spray all over again without starting from scratch... and it wasn't. Be careful of the indents on the wing part of the emblem, as if not sealed with the plastidip, water can get behind and 'blow' it....

Regarding the VRS badge, I masked right up to the edge of that, as it has straight edges and it gives a clean finish.
