thanks for that

I fitted just the one on the battery side and it works perfectly.  Opens smoothly, stays open and doesn't distort anything.  Easy to close when you want to. I also sprayed the bracket black first so it looks completely OEM.

When i bought mine i paid for them while they were in post production and it was for the pair, they only sell them single now i believe.

They are very powerful as stated i just hold it so it goes up smoothly when i release the bonnet catch.

did you get yours from superskoda , what was the total with p&p thanks

Yes from superskoda i paid about 40.00 pounds had them over a year so cant be certain.

Theres one for sale on forum if you have a look.

Slider,

Mine was also from Superskoda and cost around £40.

P.S. The other thing I didn't originally like was that the petrol vRS doesn't have any sound proofing under the bonnet so you could hear the injectors and chain tapping away from inside the car.  From memory, it only cost around £20 to put the OEM part in though.

probably by design so you can hear your chain or tensioner have failed :D

Yes, for those who haven't changed to the latest tensioner, you could well be right! :D

Is the sound proofing obtainable from the dealers seems cheap at that price.

Yes, and it comes with the fixing clips so there's no need to buy them seperately.

I will see how much the stealer wants in york cheers.

Same here.

Well i can honestly say i have no such problem mine have been on a year now.

Yes it seemed to depend on the squareness of the strut bracket. Plenty were happy with theirs from the group buy.
