Just picked up a nice pre fl vrs TDI. Really nice car and I'm addicted to the pd punch! My only worry is it seems to flutter the throttle at almost exactly 2000rpm. I most notice it in say 4th, but its there. Its only on light throttle. Put the boot down and its fine. Accelerate through that rpm range, again fine. Hold throttle exactly there and it kind of stutters a bit. Onoffonoffonoff kinda feeling.

I've searched the forums and I know stutters are fairly common, but they all seem to be on high throttle inputs, well, the ones I've found are.

Anyone had anything like this?

Could be EGR valve. Pretty common issue for a lot of diesels. Worth checking that. If you are near someone with VCDS, get it scanned too to see if the ECU is flagging any faults.
