Hi,

Just bought a used Skoda Superb 2010 Estate 2.0 tdi SE 170 and have changed the H7 halogen headlight bulb with a Xenon equivalent for a clearer brighter and whiter light.

I'm wanting to do the same with the sidelights but cannot remove them.

Access is really limited, I can just about grip the bulb holder and rotate it but cannot remove it.

I've seen a thread referring to the use of a small flat blade screwdriver to lever it out but no details around that actually working.  I've tried this and still no joy.

Limited videos on youtube - refer to old model of the superb.

Any tips?

Thanks

See your in Sheffield

If you want, I'll help change it for you

It does require a superhuman yank to get them out , or use needle nose pliers

Access is limited, but I used a mirror to see what I was doing on the first one, and the second one was a breeze

A mirror and needle nose pliers!! genius - that's great advice - thanks for offering - kind of you buddy but this is something I need to overcome!! Been bugging me for too many days!!  I will try this out post the outcome on here.  thanks again.

Another Sheffield Superb owner.... We'll be able to start our own sub forum up soon. :)

As Damian says once you've done the first one it will be easier to know what to do. I just open up the cover now and give the sidelight bulb a bloody good pull with a couple of expletives for good measure each time i need to replace my 50p LED sidelights. :D
