I like to disconnect the battery so I can clean the corrosion however in the manual it statess battery can be only disconnected when the ignition is on  . Isn't this dangerous or is the manual right?

It's a misprint, and a very stupid one. Later editions of the manual were corrected to say 'off' rather than 'on' .

If you have the user guide/manual then sometimes there is a sticker with all the option codes in that.  (not in mine though).

Failing that, adjacent to the spare wheel well.  Mine is quite hard to read now, so maybe a photograph which you can enlarge on your computer.

Anyone can help?

We have a 64Ah battery, "Exide premium EA640" It came from a local battery specialist, where you just give them you reg number and they fit the right battery for you.

Yeah that's the battery I just bought today. Thanks,

A thin layer of Petroleum jelly over the battery terminals and clamps will also stop any future corrision setting in.

Does the car have a Built-in On-board Diagnostics system that lets the driver run tests of the whole electrical system of the car? If yes how do I activate it?

Another question is where is the fuel filter/spark plugs located? Also how do I take off the engine cover?

Any pics of these would be really helpful.

It is in the link I posted back at post #18.

Undo a few clips and pull in each corner where the lugs are (highlighted in blue)...
