Hi I'm trying to install a sub to my fabia mk1 I don't have the standard head unit I'm using a pioneer mvh8200bt unit as was in car when purchased. The problem I am having is I've got no sound coming out of it. There are 2 speakers on parcel shelf that have been added by previous owner but not quite sure how he has wired the up. I've checked that I have power to sub and also that I have a good earth. I've connected the blue remote wire to the blue and white wire on the iso lead like usual and put the audio leads in the sub and head unit ports. Can anyone think what else might be wrong or if I've done something wrong???

Check the output for a subwoofer is turned on at the HU, if its possible to turn it on and off

The output on the head unit only seems to control parcel shelf sspeaker but like said before not sure how these are wired up.

Unless you have a loom converter -> Autoleads etc, there is no blue/white wire in the OEM loom.

Yes it does have a loom convertor as not ge urine headunit

You need to look at page 28 and 31 of the user manual.

suggests if there is an amp driving the rear speakers, then the sub output is disabled.

 

Have a read of the whole manual, you may need to try and understand how all the existing speakers are wired in.
