Insurance recomendations for a somewhat modded 4x4

Featured Replies

Ok, Ive finally become unsure with L&V & Im looking to Insure Elsewhere.

Im just trying to glean from peoples experiences who they would recomend

The cars fairly heavily modded, Im "OLD" with a clean Licence & about 20 years NCB.

If anyone has any thoughts could they please post Company name & if possible a contact number.

To date Ive been recomended

Brentacre

Chris Knott

Greenlight

Adrian Flux

thanks

Stuart

Those 4 seem to be the best for modded vehicles.

Can't think of any else, but you should get some decent quotes from the above.

Try to play the best 2 quotes off each other.

I was recommended towards Brent Acre by a 30yo with an Audi S3 and 400bhp via a GT28 conversion. He was paying only

Everytime i rang them, they said call back nearer the time or, we'll get back to you, but never did.

TBH,

How much NCB is that with?

Depends who you ask......... :D

I say 5+, more Than argued the toss saying it was four until i shoved my last insurance paperwork under their grubby little noses.

I had TWO insurance companies, one alledgedly dealing with modified cars, express interest in supplying cover, only to say "NO" when i told them the postcode. manchester and oldham ones are dodgy it seems.... :(

I'm free to modify brakes, zorst, suspenders etc, as long as they're informed.

Not likely to do it mind you.

Still, i'm insured now, and chris knott are still on my radar for next year

ooh, and it's a VW, not a skoda, though the 4x4 will be higher group than my pastie.

Just going through this myself, to renew by Saturday.

My RS with basic mods, I'm 28, 4yrs NCB, NG postcode:
