All the reports say it will be AWD.......will it be better than the Golf R?

It's gone CRAZY over on the FocusRSOC forum........although there is quite a lot of unease about the fact that this RS will be a global car made in massive numbers......does it devalue the brand?

Anyway, here is the teaser vid just released. Please note...these are the development "mule" cars and won't look like the final car........we all hope!

Many other reports say it WON'T be 4WD! Will just have to wait and see. However, I have very little interest in the car as cars of this power are, in my opinion, pointless for 99+% of the time on UK public roads. Cars such as this just give ammunition to the anti-car organisations (Brake, etc.).

To be honest, I have owned a few AWD Subaru Sti's, as well as a few Focus mk2 RS's and it really wouldn't bother me if the new mk3 was still FWD. My current RS is 350 bhp and handles fantastically. Infact those who know me on here will know that I sold my RS last year for a brand new 2015 Subaru Sti, only to sell it after 6 months and get back to the RS. That's how highly I rate the Ford. My 2nd Focus RS mk2 was up around 375+ bhp and it was just as sublime.

The Scoob was a bit of a miss though, not able to compete with the other cars in the class like the Golf R. Or handle like the RS.

I'm not surprised it's gone crazy on the RS forums.

These are people paying around twenty grand for a five year old Focus.

Half of them are die hard Ford Fanboys that'll never buy anything without a blue oval on.

So this is as good as it gets for them, a new RS.

Don't blame the car, it's the idiot behind the wheel. As many idiots drive 1.2 Fabias as do 300bhp hatchbacks, in fact, probably relatively more. The majority of buyers of HP cars are also keen / responsible drivers. Every car on the road is capable of 40 mph, and that's the big killer in a built up 30mph zone.
