mate brought round a 330d m sport desiel with 231 bhp on Saturday. Christ did it go need to find out if you can fettle the potential octavia vrs d to those sort of figures. It was a very nice car and looked totally diffeent to the normal with deeper bumpers etc.

VW had a 1.9 caddy van running 240bhp as a test mule about 2 years ago - you're bound to see something close from the 2.0tdi IMHO.

The 330d is pretty darn fast too - it pretty much started pulling away, my car is as good as standard, dunno if it was, either way it was impressively fast (I also backed right off as the speed limit of 40 mph was introduced at that stretch, and unlike the 330d owner I kinda felt slowing down rather than potentially mowing down one of the guys working at the bridge reinforcements )

the standard 330d is 201bhp just checked bmw's seb site this one has an extra 30bhp so it's even quicker - he's done a deal to get an ex demo full leather auto for 29k . I've also heard a rumour about the 535d's engine been put in a 3 and it becoming a m3d

dont think they would do that, as i bet it would be faster than the current M3

I reckon they just want to follow the trend of the new octavia vrs

The 335d is going to be built, but maybe reduced to 250hp. Still very potent though. The new M power is likely to be a V8 with no less than 400hp. The petrol will be the only M power. They won't do diesel, unless it is M-Tech which is a different thing of course.

there wouldn't be much then in the new 330dm 231 bhp and 335d 250bhp - wonder how they would market it ?

As far as M is concerned, there's also a 335i model coming up in petrol version close specd with the older M3. New M3 is rumoured to have a V8 400BHP unit.

There already are fast 330 diesels about!! Do you know about ant and petes D3?!? It has been in 2 gumball rallys and keeps up with supercars!

It finished 2nd in 2004 thanks to its 304bhp and 720Nm of Torque :eek: !!

They've just bought out the 130i as well and at 265BHP is fast a fook without a turbo.

I saw a Hartge H1 going around Donnington a few weeks ago. Very under whelmed by its 450hp modified M5 engine. I imagine the lighter 3 litre might be more useable though ?!!?
