Strange or normal?

Featured Replies

Queuing in traffic this morning I deactivated stop/start as we were only stopped a matter of seconds between each move forward.

What I found strange, I accidentally stalled the car and immediately I pushed down on the clutch the car restarted, I heard the starter motor kick in.

Surely it shouldn't restart like this. Anyone else had this happen?

I didn't get a start-stop rapid, but my previous citigo behaved exactly this way. Stall - clutch down - start. Seems to be an undocumented feature of these engines.

Once you know it does it, it makes stalling a lot easier to recover from.

mines the same - a good feature when turning right.

Well that's a new one, took me by surprise this morning. I was just about to reach for the key to restart, not needed, saved my blushes.

Thanks.

Bit tricky on mine - I don't have a clutch pedal.

Octavias do this too [emoji106]

Stalling should be a bit tricky for you ;)
