Octavia 1.9tdi ASV engine rough idle

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a high mileage 1.9 tdi estate fitted with ASV engine.

It pulls great, but it is rough on idle. As soon as revs increase above 1000 rpm no problems.

Any ideas anyone?

How rough? Do you mean revs climbing and dipping or is it more of a juddery engine fuel related thing?

A bunch of things can cause rough idle so you really need to get it plugged into VCDS/Vagcom diagnostics.

Probably a member near you who can help you out for "beer tokens"

Hello!! I've been having some starting issues with my Fabia Mk1 HTP recently. Sometimes it doesn't react to the key being in the start position. No cranking, no noise (other than the fuel pump buzzing in the back). After some fiddling with key, or a fast turn it starts and runs fine. Now, after replacing the battery the issue seemed to go away and it had been starting perfectly. Two days later it looks like the problem is coming back, but now the fast turn of the key doesn't make a difference.

Hi All, I know this is a topic that seems to have been covered a million times but my vRS has become a problem child. It was losing a small amount of coolant and I would get the odd whisp of steam from the back, I diagnosed a leaking EGR Cooler (confirmed with off car pressure test) and a small water pump leak. Morning all. Have a new issue I thought I would run by you to see if anybody has had similar.... 2021 Enyaq 60 with 110k miles. Have recently had starting a 'clicking' noise when moving away from a standing start and then when breaking. Almost sounds like a relay opening/closing. Strangely enough, if you pull away VERY slowly, it does not do it. Hi, I have just bought a 2023 Karoq auto but am disappointed to find the car does not creep to allow for slow movement parking.Yes I know, I should have checked during the test drive. Is there a setting I have missed? I have read we can cause damage to the clutches if we use the brake to "creep". Is that correct? Also, my 12 year old Mercedes auto will hold the car on a hill, perhaps on a queue of traffic, by pressing the HOLD feature but the Karoq will need the Auto stop feature turned on.

Good afternoon all. After not using my heater/blower for a couple of months. Turned on last week and aircon was blowing 'tepid' air. Have been to dealer this morning. They did a regas, confirming there were no leaks. Unfortunately has not cured the problem. They want to book in for a 'diagnostic' but cannot tell me what they will do or what they suspect can be wrong !! Has anybody had similar issues they may be able to give me some pointers towards please ??
