Besides, a 80+ mile daily commute on salty, rural roads doesn't lend itself to having a clean car !

The rear number plate in muddyboots photo is perfectly readable.

You can't read it because he has "redacted" it!!

Look at the 6th picture again.

Also read his explanation as to why his car happens to be dirty in those photos.

Just so you know, the Police saw my car, since they spent some time with me at this point, and they didn't comment about it at all, probably because half the cars in this area are equally as dirty. It is one of the joys of living in the country. We all know it is illegal but the Police have a sensible attitude to it.

Looks like, from left to right: Me, a tractor, and something with big knobbly tyres on

 

If those other two tracks hadn't been there, I'd have had no idea where the road was in places.

 

I don't rate my Hankook winter tyres much in snow though. Obviously they're magnitudes better than summer tyres, but they haven't got the bite in snow like other winter tyres I've used.

They'll be changed for next season. Nokian or Conti probably.

And I thought this was a thread about you looking to buy a Renault special edition haahaaa

Struggled a bit on this hill, partly because the Hankook winter tyres aren't great on snow, and partly because I was being a little too agressive on the throttle:

Not sure why some of the videos have embedded, and some have stayed as links ?

Also, in the first video, at 00:22, you can hear the annoying Bolero problem of randomly tuning to other stations for a few seconds when listening to a BBC station!!
