Hello all.

Bought a 09 FL (think that's right anyway..) petrol Octavia VRS last year (Nov time) Been lurking on the forum for a while looking at things to do to make it 'mine' if that makes sence, put my stamp on it. Thought it was about time I said hello.

So hi!

My name is Rusty, I live in a little sleepy town called Whitchurch in Hampshire

My previous car was a MK1 MG ZS with a sweet 2.5L V6, I miss the noise, I'm not going to lie about that!

Anyway that's it really, any questions ask away!

..and lost! I was reversing out of their drive last night and never saw the small gate post, tried to turn, heard a bang and then, well, you can see from the pics. So mad at myself but left it until this morning to have another look at it. Pics 1 & 2 were mostly on the skirt and that has all come off with just washing it down with a sponge. However, Pic 3 shows where I hit the post whilst turning. Most of it has come off (Pic 4 & 5) but there is a slight dent and plastic bit in the whee

Last year I had my 2013 Mk. 2 Fabia air conditioning (A/C) serviced by WeChillAnyCar - I had used them before on a different car. They extracted the gas, refilled it, (allegedly) tested that everything worked and I paid them for the work.. I didn't think to test it until a few weeks later when I discovered that it didn't work at all. I bought a sportline flat bottom steering wheel but it was the heated version with the view button. I knew the airbag would have a bit of a gap but I didn’t like how it looked or felt overall. So I now have that for sale if anyone is interested. I am on the hunt for a round leather steering wheel. Version with phone button not view button, but with the DSG paddles. If anyone can point me in the direction of the correct part number or even if you have one for sale please let me know!
