Swapped the mongrel for something a little more fuel efficient

Featured Replies

Although my decimal point might have been 1 digit to the right....  Oh it's 8 mpg not 80mpg?!

Oh well - I love it  (and the mongrel WILL be back ;)) Been giving this beauty some of my special treatment today, whilst my beauty gets some special treatment this week from the owner of this machine, who is better with spanners than me. :D

Paintwork showing some improvements on testing.  Sure hadn't been properly polished for some time!

Lovely :)

About 4yrs ago a friend bought a 1972 Bentley off a couple who had decided they would have the last of the V12 Jags instead as it was much more economical. He didn't have the Bentley long....

Can't beat a hand built car for quality :)

Aye, everything is rock solid still.  More concerned about parking it during the week at work as I will need one and a half normal car spaces to fit it in :D

Jag takes up 4 spaces at our local Tesco

Love the colour that's really nice. You may be mistaken for a pimp now though, some fluffy dice and a nice white suit would go hand in hand.

Something like this maybe???

It's the most head turning car ever driven.  Took photos down the local beach / seafront and had two people come up to talk about the car whilst I was snapping it.  Never get that with the mongrel :D

And the noise from the engine is nice when being given a little beans too.

Lol did they ask if they could kiss your ring?

Thankfully most people in Exmouth are not that direct with their questions :D

One asked what year it was and I had to say I didn't know - as I don't!  :D

I must ask. Is it yours? Did you actually purchase it or have been loaned it from a friend? whoops I just re-read your original post.

Jokes aside, I must say it is a really nice car so much more character and style than anything modern, i'm not suprised you turned heads.

Yeah - I couldn't actually live with this if I was paying for the fuel.  I chucked in £30 as fuel light was on when I picked it up and have driven only 30 miles or so and it's gone down a fair bit already :D
