Sorry if this has been covered before, tried searching...

 

I can't seem to unlock the car using the driver's side rocker switch:

• The maxi-dot is set to auto-lock and unlock; but it won't open from a manual lock either

• Tried resetting factory defaults in maxi-dot and holding the unlock for a while, no luck

• I either have to open the driver's door or lean over to passenger door to unlock the doors

 

Any ideas?

 

 

Does the passenger side switch work OK? I had your symptoms and a defective driver's side lock/unlock switch was diagnosed. When the dealer replaced it, all was fine again

Yup passenger is all fine, as is the lock part of the driver's side - just the unlock doesn't work

It might just be dirt on the contact within the switch. I've no idea ho easy it is to get inside this switch to clean it out though...
