It would be great, until you get Wilson's insipid adverts for warranty half way through, then you realise he's a total pr1k. I preferred him looking at house buying. It's all a bit like The Bicycle Show, and Top Gear when Chris Goffey waxed lyrical about boot space and reliability.

Now that is the proper format for a car show.

I thought it was okay and it's better than sitting through one of the soaps.  I don't mind Quentin to be honest, he is what he is and at least he's consistent.  I missed the adverts as I'd started watching it a quarter of an hour later because the phone rang just as it started so it got paused.  I fast forwarded through them all, quite a good way to watch it really.

yep, just downloaded it myself and set sky+ to record the rest of the series.

Bit samey to other motoring progs, but without  comedy antics of some. Can do without the chick who goes on, and on drooling over cars (Ferrari) all FALSE. If she thinks it sexes it up it didn't. Apart from that lets have some affordable classics to look at, we did (TR7) but I mean classics, they even rediculed it on the after chat.

I will watch it, hope they do better in the up and coming episodes, there's naff all else on early evening.

I sit there watching it wondering how much longer is there to go, so I should be reaching for the off knob, but keep watching.

Not a bad show at all...... an interesting spread of items through the show.

I loved tonight's show. Beautiful cars. If only it didn't have Quentin Wilson as I can't stand him.

It is just all of the contrived stuff between Jodie and Quentin that puts me off it.  Why Producers think we the public need all of that I don't know.  I now if they just showed you the cars and talked about them it could be a bit dull and they do need to make it interesting but scripted (and painfully obviously so) banter between the presenters doesn't do it for me.

 

I just zap through the recording and look at the bits that interest me and ignore the rest.

I don't mind Jodie so much, but QW and his terrible affectations drives me potty. But the cars the star as they say and after the show with the Dino, this was a second, series highlight

Maybe Clarkson would be a suitable replacement for QW or JM, I think he's available!

For me the show was almost unwatchable due to the smarmy convicted second hand car clocker from Leicester otherwise known as Quentin Wilson….

I think they are trying too hard to make the presenters the stars. QW is OK teamed alongside Tiff for example. I still preferred the Tiff era of TG, at least he could drive properly and not get distracted by titting around in combine harvester

I guess they are looking to a different market than the TG crowd. The yoof element in general, wont be interested by big floaty yank Tanks and cars with names that nobody has heard of in 40 years. So their magazine format is probably in keeping I think.

 

I don't like QW, never have, but they are a palate cleanser to TG in a way (my mind tends to work in a language of food metaphors.....usually cake based). But by going off if a different direction to appeal to a different audience to TG, they probably didn't count on Clonkson self exploding his BBC career and killing the show.
