Fitting rear mudflaps again

Featured Replies

Ok got the official set and am amazed yet again at the German over engineering. Cut out the templates but not looking forward to drilling holes and removing the wheels to do so. Worries me that I'll have a bumper like a Swiss cheese.

Trust me, you don't need to drill anything. I didn't want to put holes in the bumper so cut the 4 'posts' off and simply attached the mud flaps using the plastic clip at the top and the metal clip at the bottom. They have been on for about 3 months now without any problem.

There's an 'How to' fitting Citigo mudflaps. I fitted theVW Up! flaps so I don't know if they differ from the Genuine Skoda flaps. No wheels removed and no holes drilled.

I fitted mine properly without removing the wheels I used a makita 10.8 volt mini drill to drill a pilot hole then drilled the hole to size from the outside

Ok didn't want to drill my bumper to fit £16 worth of mudflaps so cut off the 4 pegs and clipped at the top and metal clipped the bottom.

Easy peasy!

Just a shame that fitting rear mudflaps makes no difference to.....well, anything, really.
