I have sat in a Citroen C4 Picasso with the full glass roof..... and i must admit to liking it a lot, the whole car is just filled with light, so different to having a solid roof above you, it really was different.

Sunroofs and aircon/climate control systems just don't mix well.. it's a constant fight between hot and cold.. not good.. I would imagine that roof costs a fortune to repare if you get a nice chip from a stone or two on the motorway..

I live about 3 miles from there...... why are Claybank so bad, i have not bought a car from them but have been in a few times to look at the new car.

don't go near them, I got my Mk1 from them and after its first service I never took it back.. the 1st thing was some little git of a mechanic tried to red-line my engine - I caught him at it and went into the garage with the service manager when everyone heard what was being done - service manager apologised but it should never have happened, the 2nd thing was that some lard-ar$e sales rep took it on the local butty run after the service and left all his crumbs and paper bags from the pie shop all over the front passenger seat.. fuming was an understatement at the time, I went back in and ranted for ages and made them feel like complete crap in front of other customers and slammed the door on the way out..  that was that..  avoid like the plague!

When hiring a car in Italy damages on the roof usually arent covered by the "full insurance". Always extra. Wonder why :D

I see what you mean about if the roof got damaged but in all the years of car ownership i can not recall having to fill in stone chips on the roof so am unsure how risky it would be. I just like the feeling of the light coming in and having the feeling of having no roof above you.

I had a Peugeot 207 SW with a panoramic roof, I loved it. My wife's Fiat 500 has one too, it does make the interior light and airy but I don't miss not having one, just as well considering how dark it is inside my Monte.
