Welcome to a little bit of madness.

So one evening when i was a little bored and was trying to think of my favorite cars I've owned I slowly ended up on the thoughts of what would be my ideal car. My truck has always been my most fun thing to own even though it was only a 1.9 sdi....if only it had more power...and if only that subaru outside had cheaper tax...and if only the pickup had that noise....uh-oh.

so i went outside and measured the wheels centre to centre and the physical heigth,width of the major components and had a little chat with myself to convince myself that this was a bad idea....well that didnt work.

this is when i first got it in 2010

and it evolved

this is my truck in 2012...

and this is the last time it had all its body panels

 

everything from here is self explanitory

so that brings us up to rust repair....now for the transformation

and that brings us up to tonight. its sat for a few months while life got in the way but tonight i did a bit of work to make engine in-outyness a bit easier

This looks like an interesting one to watch, the safety brush is pretty genious

alot of work to be putting a non turbo in, unless thinking of changing engine again at later date?

Could be age related i.e. cheaper insurance?

Definitely a turbo! Te finished product of all this initially will be rocking standard wrx power on plain mk4 golf alloys, just to be a sleeper and get through re-registration and the likes. Then when I cant surprise anyone anymore I'll stick some nice pokey alloys on and start my hunt for more power!!!
