Hi i had a sensor fail, just picked it up from local garage and i now have three blue sensors one black one!

Can i put a thin layer on it to match?

I had 2 parking sensors go and the garage sent them to a local paint shop and had them sprayed the car colour. Rallye Green.

Still got problems with them and the garage have sent to SUK for ideas!!

Front sensors go on a when I drive into my garage but otherwise only come on when you press the button on the panel!

Sounds stupid to me. why can't they work on proximity as rears.

Pull up to an obstacle they don't go on. Put the car in reverse and they come on, ie front and back????

Be interesting to see what SUK have to say. Not holding my breath for any sensible suggestions!

Easy to switch on when you select reverse is why. In the same vein, the reverses don't come on when someone gets too close to your @rse, so that's just how they're designed.

Well been back in again. Driving through very wet roads when you park some of the front sensors come on and lock on. Put the car in reverse 2 in front come on and one in the rear set. Sounds like a fire engine noise with different tones front and back going off at the same time.

Took it back in . They were to test as SUK TPI then report back. They phoned and said the Tech had take the car apart( seriously?) and had found to probs.!! I said how come it happens on wet roads when even using a power hose, nothing?? They said they had carried out SUK instruction. So I phoned SUK and they are appointing someone to investigate. As I have extended warranty to 2017 should get this sorted eventually!!!

Hi,when i fitted my rear parking sensors i painted them myself,i had a aerosol made up in the correct colour & gave the sensors a couple of light colour coats & one coat of laquer.

Picked up car today. What the garage hadn't told me was that they had taken both bumpers off and then tested.

Got a phone call from SUK. I told them that as I had an extended warranty I would leave it until it happened again instead of wasting every bodies time.

They then asked had I owned a Skoda before. I said is this the brand loyalty question, she said not really.

Then she said well I suppose yes. So I told her about the other VRS Estate I had owned plus the caddy van from new and a second hand Porsche Boxter. I said is that good she said that's excellent!! So no problems there!!
