Cutting out at low revs

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2002 Fabia 1.4mpi and have a problem with it cutting out. Sometimes it cuts out the first few times I start it, when at low revs or idling. Once it's had a good run it gets better.

I have scanned it and get the following codes;

VCDS-Lite Version: Release 1.2

I thought the issue was to do with the Lambda sensor so I was going to replace or reseat it but I don't know where to find it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Try cleaning and resetting the throttle body, also check that the thermostat hasn't broken up by removing the engine coolant temperature sensor (when the engine is cold) and having a look.

Thanks fordfan, I'll give that a go on Saturday

After quick checking that error codes, I'd say that is time to replace or at least to test the G71 (MAF) sensor. You might want to read this before getting to work.

I recently changed the maf sensor and still get the errors. I'm thinking it must be a wiring problem?
