Shark Remap - How does it alter the MPG

Featured Replies

Has anyone had their 75bhp Fabia 1.6CR mapped by Shark ? They have quoted new BHP figures and torque figures but of course can not give an idea of how it could affect the MPG.... Anybody got real life experience of this ?

From my understanding remaps often create better MPG as you are using more power to get your required speed quicker if that makes sense

My Shark map my Octy improved MPG in normal driving and on a run. Obviously at times you'll use more fuel, and you'll be travelling more quickly as a result

I found it was less compromised than generic manufacturer mapping. It's also not just about peak quoted figures, it's about driveability. That's best benefit in my book.

In b4 Brimma. :D

Regularly running at a real life 53mpg, so pretty much the same as standard

Don't rely on the computer figures shown on the car, which appear hugely optimistic

Thanks for that, that is good to know.

Both the Superb and Yeti (both 170CR and Shark mapped) returned marginally better fuel consumption, the cars however drive FAR superior!

You mean you haven't adjusted Maxidot MPG accuracy? :)

New BHP figures? I thought it was just 135bhp for the 1.6cr.
