Hey guys,

I'm trying to locate my coolant temp sensor but cannot find it at all.

Can someone point me in the right direction please.

( the last pic is the fuel pressure sensor ) I'm told it's similar though.

you have to take the alternator and tensoner off, its behind them in the middleish of the bottom part of the engine, this will help- removed youtube clip as for petrol engine

Wrong!! That Youtube clip is a petrol engine!!! seesh!

 

 

Locate the top radiator hose then follow it back to the plastic coolant flange at the head/block. THe sensor is tucked away at the back of this flange as per ingus's picture under the tandem pump

Sorry, didnt mean to cause offense, badly phrased reply.

I had visions of OP stripping off his alternator unnecessarily. But I think everyone will appreciate your good intentions.

For all I know, my advice may turn out not doing much, at least we know someone has "diagnosed" low readings.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record ,VCDS would help greatly I suspect.
