Yeti black edition on my drive :)

Featured Replies

Hi all

Just picked up a brand new black edition in white DSG

Very pleased

Great! How long did it take from ordering, building, to collection?

Congratulations

Post some photos up, as I've not seen a Black Edition yet

Yeti Black Edition in white

Just doesn't sound right somehow, but enjoy it

I know, I thought that too - same as the Octavia Black edition really.

Choosing a colour as part of a model's name is never the best idea really, in my book.

Especially when the Fabia, Roomster and Citigo Black Editions do only come in, you guessed it, black :)

I suppose Audi have done the same with their Black Editions

Good choice. I also have a black edition in white but a manual.

Collected mine 3rd November and love it.

Picked up from Claybank by the looks of it :)

Looks good  B)

Looks like White is the new Black. Lol

By the way, enjoy. Great cars.

Even if it is white, or is that Black.

When we bought ours it was a stock car. They also has a black one with DSG but we went manual.

Good saving over list.

Has anyone fitted mud flaps to the black edition .I had a set from tps they said there is only 1 set listed for the Yeti but when I tried to fit them there is about 1/2 inch gap by the wing and sill looks like the wrong profile any ideas

Also I would like to know if the DSG model has hhc please

Cheers

As I understand it, the new facelift Yeti uses the same front mudflaps as the pre-FL version but has two new rear sets depending on whether it is a standard or outdoor version.

The BLACK edition looks to use the same rear bumper section as the standard (non-outdoor) Yeti and so that is the version that I think you'll need. I believe the part number is 5L0075101, the outdoor version is 5L0075101A and the pre-FL is KEA630002.

If anyone knows any different then please speak up.

Damn I had a set in my had in the show room when picking the car up. I was trying to persuade the sales guy to let me have them foc lol he didn't

No there is no hhc on the black edition

With DSG that is

The other thing is I'm thinking of getting the roof wrapped in black and White chequers pattern but was thinking that it would look weird if it went right to edge of the roof ,so was thinking of having the edges in gloss black to match the pillars and then just the centre section in cheques

Has any body else done this ?

I'm no expert on the FL Yeti, but if hhc means hill hold control, I'm pretty sure that this comes with all DSG models across the Skoda range.

That's what I thought it's no problem but I just thought if it was fitted I would like it to work.

The mud flap part No.KEA630001 and 5L007101 tps said these are the only ones listed .but super Skoda site says they will not fit the black edition something about the sill covers .as I said when I offered the flap to the car there is a big gap between the wing just keep looking I guess

On the skoda website HHC is a £100 option on the outdoor 140 se with DSG

So I guess its a no

But I guess it depends on your interpretation of hhc , I read somewhere that it holds the brakes for 2seconds when on an incline to allow you to go from brake to accelerateor

On my BMW iths a auto handbrake which works very different in that when you come to a stop it applies handbrake and turns off engine then soon as you touch the steering wheel it takes the brakes off after starting the engine

It works very very well

I guess that you must be talking about front mudflaps(KEA630001) and, from looking at GreenlineIIEstate's pictures, I can see that those extended sill covers on the Black edition would cause a problem for the standard front mudflaps as they are moulded to fit over the sill covers.

I'm not sure that Skoda has addressed this problem yet, it took them a little while to come up with new rear mudflap designs for the two types of the facelift model.

Yep, looking at the side-on image in Post 7, the usual front mudflaps won't fit due to the sill extensions on the Black edition.

Andyrep. Looking good...enjoy.

I also have a 2014 yeti black edition, in awful black, mudflaps forget it! Unless you make your own or get them made for you, skoda don't make em,,,I have been given part numbers By skoda uk,so I ordered, still don't fit,..... Wish I had never seen the black edition... Poor...

Got my Black Edition with DSG in errr black in September. Very pleased, love the gearbox, as good in the snow as my previous Tiguan and a good deal from the dealer. Just about to get it remapped in the next few weeks.
