Citigo Black Edition lowering springs

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend me some lowering springs for Citigo Black Edition?

I'm not sure how much of a drop to go for, so if you could post a few photos of your lowered Citigo's and say which springs you've used, it'd be much appreciated thanks.

It's a difficult subject aftermarket springs, I've found my local dealer won't touch them (even the standard greentech springs) and another Skoda dealer only fit the Greentech springs (15mm drop) and not aftermarket springs, also insurance will likely charge you for lowering even if you chose factory springs, here's a email from a Skoda dealer I received when asking about it

Thanks for the email. As far as I'm aware there is no warranty issues if the springs are a genuine Skoda accessory.

Aftermarket ones are a grey area but I see it like this: You can do whatever you want with a car. There only becomes a warranty issue if whatever has been changed on the car causes the problem. i.e. if you changed the springs and it caused an issue with steering sensors or the suspension, then it may not be covered. However if something unrelated breaks i.e. The radio stops working, then it would be covered. I hope this all makes sense!

I'm guessing there is a story behind this?

Sorry, very slow on the uptake this evening it seems.

Thanks for the photos. It looks like the H&R -35mm springs will be good for me.

I'm still running the stock 15" alloys but plan on getting different alloys at some point, possibly 15", maybe 16".
