Dual Mass Flywheel

Featured Replies

Just curious - does anyone know if the 1.2 tsi (105) uses a dual mass flywheel?

I've had a hunt around but can't see anything definitive.

cheers

Not certain, but would be very (and pleasantly) surprised if it was not a DMF.

Its of no immediate concern, I was curious as the drivetrain feels much smoother than most things I've driven.

I also would be very surprised if not , they do a valuable job and allow other parts to be lighter and therefore more efficient

Looking at things and apparently it has.

Hope they don't start giving trouble like a Vauxhall I once owned, some that's after 40k. It was a diesel though.

They are better than they were and most last the life of the clutch
