Featured Replies

anyone help me plzz im fitting this kit today and need the oil return pipe any links or help

Sorry, mine came with the turbo from Darkside. :(

Ultimately if you have the know how, can you knock up a custom pipe?

any links to darksides one?

Bit of research and you would know that xman gtb's on cast manifolds need the oil return pipe making up to fit, pretty sure he woukd have told you too?

Just pull your old standard oil return apart, then use both ends with some oil/fuel hose between the two fittings with jubilee clips.

No EGR holes in the turbo,EGR is on manifold.Put a pic up.

Is it a standard GTB2260,or a ball bearing one?

If using a tubular standard return fits fine, the hole in the flange is 1/8 fitting so perfect for a EGT gauge

Send me your addy and I'll forward you pic of where u need to clock the turbo

The last 2260 I got off Xman require a small amount on one of the lugs to be ground back so it didn't hit the manifold runner once inlet was clocked round, would also advise if running vibratechnic mounts to thread lock all bolts both hot and cold side

Silky could you send me a picture of how the turbo sits please to [email protected]

STD oil return works fine with a tubular. Thats all I used on mine.

here is a Xman GTB2260vk mounted on a DTM Tubular, this was from a guys fabia VRS i recently fitted this kit too

i had to alter the cold side and move the housing and then grind a lug down

Lovely looking manifold :D

Looking forward to see on Saturday if they produce more power than the cast x-man conversions.

Should be a very good comparison Alex's and Adam's as both mapped by John :)

I think at our power levels and without running nozzles there won't be any or very slight difference in power output

But I believe the tubulars will disapate the heat better, and will give better flow at the top end

I'm not sure how quickly your egt gauge drops when you back off, but with mine I can drop from 800c to 500c within 3-7sec after a WOT from 4th and into 5th?

You would really need a like for like setup to see if spool and top end power is better

Not too sure what manifold Adam's is on is it DS or DTM?

Can't say I've noticed how quick it drops!will look when logging tomoz.

Pretty sure Adams is DS :)

Knowing how cast iron holds heat better I suspect it won't drop heat away as quick, plus the tubular has more surface area as well to get rid of heat, them boys from Portugal run cast manifold at 350bhp so can't see them being an issue tbh

Adams is DS. Very nice craftsmanship.

As stated I'm running a Darkside manifold, my personal thought's on figures are the tubular's may spool up slightly sooner, but doubt there will be very little difference in power figures. I'm still certain that I have a boost leak on the cooler core and due to the silly hours I have been working haven't managed to check it over, I'm hoping this won't affect the overall power readings.
