Teardrop Wipe Not Acive.

Featured Replies

Today I tried to activate the teardrop wipe function on my MY2013 Octavia II. The rear one was easy and works but I cannot get the front to work.

I found the option in VCDS in the slave controller and checked the box but it doesnt work. Is it not supported with my module?.

Below is the part number (pre coding).

Subsystem 1 - Part No: 1Z2 955 119 D  Labels: 1KX-955-119.CLB
   Component: Wischer 30051  26  0601
   Coding: 00D7B7

Thanks.

If it’s not supported then it will probable flag a DTC fault.

Have you checked that there is no box that now needs ticking in the cars settings?

No DTC fault and no option in Maxidot. Also tried a factory reset as some options don't take until this is done (lane change flashes).

It doesn't work.

Apparently the wiper motor needs recoding, but it isn't documented anywhere.

That seems to be the O3. Mines a 2012 O2.

Sorry, saw 2013 :) and jumped to a conclusion

Solved it. It seems the teardrop wipe only works when the car is in motion. It works whilst driving but not when stationary.

I found this while googling teardrop wipe as I had no idea what it was. Don't know if it's of any use.
