does my headunit have blutooth?

Featured Replies

Hi i have the symphany headunit in my 2004 1.9pd tdi comfort

was wondering if anyone knows if this has handsfree compatability? Or do i need a different unit.

You'll need to replace it more than likely with an after market unit

Had a feeling this might be the case.

Im guessing an aftermarket unit will different connections for the memory?

The VW ISO power connector has the switched and always on power the wrong way around to standard, so you can either use an autoleads adapter which swaps the wires, or if your replacement headunit allows you swap the red and yellow cables. Both usually have bullet connectors to allow the swap.

Do not buy the autoleads facia adapter, go to the skoda dealer and buy the official one for about £4.

Hi yes this is done to death, search for the radio wiring on this forum

Basically the yellow and red tend to be interchanged, red-yellow and yellow-red is all you need to do,

as the Skoda wiring is the opposite of the iSO for the harness blocks (but otherwise fit so generally doesn't need a special wiring loom and most 3rd party radios have bullet connectors to swap em round)

Lol posted then saw mannyo had just beated me to the same answer

You'll need an aerial signal booster as well about a fiver
