Another 4 successfully ordered and delivered from Tyreleader.

 

4 x Vred Sporttrac5s this time, ordered Sunday arrived Wednesday.

Took delivery of a 2014 Elegance last week. Before I got it I emailed the dealer and asked him to check if it actually had a spare. "No" he said, "Comes with an inflation kit.

So I found Tyreleader and ordered a wheel and tyre for just under £70 delivered. Budget tyre but as it's a 16" and mine has 17s it's not going to be on for more than 5 miles under normal circumstances.Got them in 4 days. Tracking showed they spent 2 days in Germany, 1 day somewhere in the Midlands and arrived in Glasgow on day 4. Fitted the tyre (I'm an ex-tyre fitter of 30 years) and after getting the car, brought it home and took the wheel out to put it in the boot.  Guess what? A nice new 16" wheel with a Michelin under the floor. 

Ah well, not to worry, plenty of local private hire guys about here with Octys!

Keep an eye on manufacture dates with any of these places. I notice on mytyre and tyreleader 'dot code' notes of 2011 and 2012 tyres.

Personally I would avoid, unless you plan on wearing them out within a year.

I just had 4 tyres from Tyreleader, no problems at all. I normally use Mytyres but the were too expensive this time around.

Ive just bought landsails ls388xl and at £55 for 2 they are really excellent

Good to hear, but I known people who have had 4+yr old tyres delivered.

Another vote of confidence here for Tyreleader.

 

4x Nokian winter tyres delivered from Germany to my chosen local tyre fitter in less than a week. Cheapest price I could find.

I have seen them selling old stock and ex demo tyres, but that is because I've seen them listed on their site as such, at a discount. Maybe the people you know bought those as they will come up before the new ones if you sort by price.
