Yes, come along. All being well I'll be there tonight, only my second one.

Well, that was my second & last meeting. Three people decided at the start to have a meal, how rude was that. Then they proceeded to ignore us at the other end of the table all evening. I am not the best talker but I like to listen to other people's stories. Apart from the young guy with the yellow Octavia (Mondingo?) who was interesting to listen to, nobody spoke to me all evening.

If someone organises a gathering they should introduce people, make any newbies welcome etc, get topics going, bring folk into conversations, none of that happened. As I was not driving I was looking forward to a couple of pints of good beer, being a CAMRA member I was hoping they  would have a cask beer or two on, not a chance, £3.10 for a pint of freezing cold Boddies not my idea of fun. I made it last me all evening.

Sorry, not my kind of meeting.

I think I will be coming again but I do agree abit more of a meet and greet / introduction would be nice

Sorry I did'nt speak to you, the only two people I knew were Ron, who I came with & Stephen, they were sat either side of me. The first meeting I went to was Sept'13 at Warrington, nice & informal, everyone was sat round a coffee type table & could see each other, as it should have been last night.

If new people are prepared to travel quite a few miles to attend, as you say , they should be made welcome. Not good enough just to say it on a message board.

I wouldn't worry to much about im quite socially anxious anyway but the people I did meet are really nice but it would have been nice to be one group rather than what seemed to be two groups and make certain people feeling left out

But what do I know I'm new to all this [emoji4]

Sorry if anyone felt left out . Saturday was the first day my throat wasn't like a box of sandpaper - so I wasn't at my best for sure - hence also having the meal deal with ice cream :) Yep sitting round around 1 big table wasn't ideal - but hey I am sure it wasn't meant to be devisive. Chatting outside by the cars is always more fun in my book and a chance to talk to everyone, but it was so cold and miserable. The meeting venue changes to try and suit as many as possible and give everyone the chance to have something near home - but I agree that isn't the best one - especially if you want a proper pint...Don't let one disappointment put you off, everyone is always very welcome
