Hi People,

Can you please help, I've searched and searched for info on how to disable the passenger airbag without too much luck.

We are off to work in france soon for a few months, we have two dogs and a large cage, sadly its not big enough to fit both dogs, so we will have to put on on the passenger lap, BUT the Airbag is a issue if it went off, I read about the ignition key switch, I don't have one, I know about getting the computer reprogrammed, but whats the cost? BUT what about removing a fuse? its only for a few days driving then it can be replaced. Any ideas please

From what its saying, if true, you will need to adapt the ECU to turn it off...I'm sure I've seen the "off" glovebox option on my BLT model as its a later 2006 though (unless I am mistaking for somewhere else I saw an option to turn off the bag....and I don't mean the wife).

You are most kind, but after lots of thought I have decided to put the wife in the footwell and the dog on the seat. Thanks for the offer of help. Very nice people here Thanks
