Rear wiper not working......quick fix?

Featured Replies

Evening all....

Just noticed that the Fabia`s rear wiper dos`nt work, the washer works but not the wiper.

Its going back to the dealer to be sorted, but in the mean time I was wondering if this has been encountered before and is a quick fix?

Probably not,but worth an ask eh.......

BTW..The fuse is OK.

Cheers....

Is the rear wiper 'parked' correctly on the rear screen? Or put another way, has the wiper stopped in the wrong position? If it is parked correctly it may just be a fuse or if parked incorrectly it's the motor gone. There is a problem on some Fabia Estates with the rear wiper motors letting water into the armature of the motor. To solve the problem the motor has been redesigned and is normally fitted under warranty. There are no problems with the new motors.

Cheers for the reply.

That's exactly what the service guy said when I took the car back, they are ordering one in,i was hoping it would be a quick fix because the rear window is caked in crap already and I have to reverse onto my property so could do with it fixed sooner rather than later!!

Was hoping it was the fuse, but no!

Cheers..

Have you tried putting the front wipers and putting it in reverse ? Might help confirm whether its the wiper motor or switch

quick fix is getting out and wipe it with a squeedgy
